TO CONGRATULATE THE SOUTHSIDE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL GIRLS TRACK TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2013 CLASS A TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE AND TO COMMEND THE TEAM'S OUTSTANDING ATHLETES AND COACHES.
Whereas, well prepared for the challenge, the Southside Christian School girls track team sealed a 97-86 victory over Greer to capture the 2013 Class A Track and Field Championship at the title meet, held in Hopkins; and
Whereas, excitement over this championship victory was especially intense because it made school history, marking Southside's first state-title win in girls track; and
Whereas, Southside track Coach Frank Kleckner used his own athletic skills and knowledge to build a championship machine and teach these athletes lessons that will stand them in good stead all their lives, both on and off the field; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives is pleased to recognize Sydney Newsom, Caitlyn Raber, Chole Cale, Mary Chandler, Megan Kaiser, Kelcie Teal, Hannah Silvey, Abby Doyle, Ashlyn Franks, Sarah Stone, Anna Rauniker, Olivia Wells, Savannah Skidmore, Brooke Forrest, Ashlynn Powell, Clare Hogan, Lizzy Voigt, Alyssa Register and Annemarie Piccione, the young women of the Southside Christian School girls track team, for leading with excellence both in the classroom and on the field and expects to hear of continued great achievements in the years ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate the Southside Christian School girls track team for winning the 2013 Class A Track and Field Championship title and commend the team's outstanding athletes and coaches.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Superintendent Stephen Reel and Coach Frank Kleckner of Southside Christian School.
