VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE PASSING OF DR. JAMES ROBERT SCHUSTER OF TIMMONSVILLE AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Dr. James Robert Schuster of Timmonsville on April 21, 2017, at the age of sixty; and
Whereas, born to John and Mary Lou Schuster in Honolulu, Hawaii, James Robert Schuster came into this world on October 12, 1956. He was the third of six children in an affectionate, close-knit family; and
Whereas, after his graduation from West Florence High School, the young Jim, in further preparation for his life's work, earned degrees at Francis Marion University and the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. He considered himself to be a lucky man and frequently discussed the blessings in his life. He was also quite proud to have become a dentist, an occupation that afforded him the opportunity to help many people; and
Whereas, active in his profession and in the life of his community, Dr. Schuster was a member of the American Dental Association, Experimental Aircraft Association, Pilots' Association, Country Club of South Carolina, and Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity; and
Whereas, this friendly man with an infectious smile very rarely met a stranger and was a loving, compassionate, genuine, and wise husband, father, grandfather, sibling, uncle, son, and friend. He gave the best hugs and had the ability to immerse others in the most interesting conversations. He was a man with a zest for life that was contagious for all those blessed to cross his path; and
Whereas, Jim Schuster leaves to cherish his memory his dear wife, Helene; his beloved child, Taylor; and a host of other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the passing of Dr. James Robert Schuster of Timmonsville and extend the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Helene Schuster for the family.
