VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR FAIREY LEE "LEE" PRICKETT, JR., CALHOUN COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR, UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AFTER THIRTY-THREE YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF CALHOUN COUNTY, AND TO WISH HIM CONTINUED SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives have learned that Lee Prickett began a well-deserved retirement on December 31, 2018, after thirty-three years of service to Calhoun County, the last sixteen of which have been as the highly regarded Calhoun County administrator; and
Whereas, born in Orangeburg in 1950, he is the son of Elizabeth and Fairey Prickett and graduated from St. Matthews High School in 1968. He earned a bachelor's degree from Clemson University in 1972 and a juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1975; and
Whereas, Mr. Prickett's first position after the completion of law school was with the esteemed Senator Marion Gressette; and
Whereas, deeply committed to his community, he is a member of First Baptist Church of St. Matthews and is a former member of the St. Matthews Rotary and a past board member for Calhoun Academy; and
Whereas, he has four fine children: Ashley Prickett Cuttino, Beth Prickett Holder, F. Lee Prickett III, and Cameron Dykes. They have blessed him with the love and affection of nine grandchildren from the ages of two to thirteen; and
Whereas, Mr. Prickett will be honored at a retirement dinner on January 18, 2019, and he plans to spend many happy hours in his retirement playing golf and dancing with his beloved wife, Sally; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are grateful for the years of unparalleled service that Lee Prickett has devoted to Calhoun County and wish him many years of enjoyment in his well-earned retirement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and honor Fairey Lee "Lee" Prickett, Jr., Calhoun County administrator, upon the occasion of his retirement after thirty-three years of outstanding service to the citizens of Calhoun County, and wish him continued success and happiness in all his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Fairey Lee "Lee" Prickett, Jr.
