A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MAC CREDILLE UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT, TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS FORTY-SIX YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND GAMECOCKS ATHLETICS, AND TO WISH HIM CONTINUED SUCCESS IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Mac Credille upon the occasion of his retirement from an outstanding career with the University of South Carolina and Gamecocks Athletics; and

Whereas, Mr. Credille began his career with the University of South Carolina in 1973 in the Physical Education Department, and he began working in the Athletics Department in August 1977; and

Whereas, during his tenure with Gamecock Athletics, Mr. Credille has worked with the football program for sixteen years and the men's and women's basketball and volleyball programs for twenty-six years; and

Whereas, he has worked with seven different head men's and women's basketball coaches, six volleyball coaches, and four football coaches during his time with the university; and

Whereas, Mr. Credille has been a part of twenty-one NCAA Tournament and NIT basketball teams, and he has experienced more than eight hundred men's and women's basketball victories, more than four hundred volleyball wins, and ninety-nine football victories; and

Whereas, his son, Robert, also works in the University of South Carolina's Athletics Department; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are grateful for the diligence and commitment that Mac Credille has shown in serving the people and the State of South Carolina. The members take immense pleasure in wishing him well as he enters retirement. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Mac Credille upon the occasion of his retirement, commend him for his forty-six years of dedicated service to the University of South Carolina and Gamecocks Athletics, and wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mac Credille.
