To whom was referred a Bill (S. 716) to amend Article 9, Chapter 1, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, relating to state emblems, the pledge to the state flag, and official observances, etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

TO AMEND ARTICLE 9, CHAPTER 1, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO STATE EMBLEMS, THE PLEDGE TO THE STATE FLAG, AND OFFICIAL OBSERVANCES, TO PROVIDE FOR THE DESIGNATION OF MARCH OF DIMES DAY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 9, Chapter 1, Title 1 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 1-1-619. March first of each year is designated as March of Dimes Day."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
