VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE GRAYS GIRLS FROM RIDGELAND FOR BEING NAMED ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY DISTRICT SIX GROUP OF THE YEAR AND STATE GROUP OF THE YEAR AND TO COMMEND THE GROUP FOR ITS SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO REDUCING LITTER THROUGHOUT THE PALMETTO STATE.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are proud to recognize Grays Girls from Ridgeland for being named Highway District Six Group of the Year and State Group of the Year at the annual Adopt-A-Highway awards; and
Whereas, since 1987, volunteers have contributed countless hours to the Adopt-A-Highway program throughout the Palmetto State, which is now part of the PalmettoPride Pickup program; and
Whereas, every year, Adopt-A-Highway recognizes volunteers who make a significant impact on their communities through their efforts to curb the deleterious impact of litter; and
Whereas, this year, during the month of May and "Adopt-A-Highway Month" in South Carolina, Adopt-A-Highway recognizes Grays Girls from Ridgeland for dedicating innumerable hours to curbing litter; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate appreciate the pride and recognition that Grays Girls from Ridgeland has brought to its community, Jasper County, and the State of South Carolina and look forward to a future filled with further accomplishments by the group and its dedicated volunteers. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Grays Girls from Ridgeland for being named Adopt-A-Highway District Six Group of the Year and State Group of the Year and commend the group for its significant contributions to reducing litter throughout the Palmetto State.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Grays Girls from Ridgeland.
