A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO PROVIDE THAT NO STATE AGENCY, DEPARTMENT, INSTITUTION, COMMISSION, BOARD, OR POLITICAL SUBDIVISION, INCLUDING A SCHOOL DISTRICT, MAY REQUIRE THAT INDIVIDUALS RECEIVE A COVID-19 VACCINATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    No state agency, department, institution, commission, board, or political subdivision, including a school district, may require that individuals receive a COVID-19 vaccination, including a booster shot. This prohibition extends to the announcement or enforcement of any such policy. The State Treasurer shall withhold all funding from any entity that violates this section.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
