A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO ALLOW FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE ON A PUBLIC HIGHWAY IN THIS STATE WITH MOTOR FUEL INCLUDING THOSE FUELS THAT CONTAIN DYE OR HAVE A HIGH SULFUR CONTENT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Notwithstanding Section 12-28-1555, a person may operate or maintain a motor vehicle on a public highway in this State with motor fuel contained in the fuel supply tank for the motor vehicle including those fuels that contain dye or have a high sulfur content.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval of the Governor and expires July 1, 2023.
