A house RESOLUTION

TO HONOR PASTOR ANDREA RENEE MCLEOD OF MENDED HEARTS MINISTRIES ON THE OCCASION OF HER SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF GOSPEL MINISTRY AND TO WISH HER GOD'S RICHEST BLESSINGS AS SHE CONTINUES TO SERVE THE LORD.

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that the South Carolina House of Representatives honors those individuals who give tirelessly of themselves to nurture the souls of men. Pastor Andrea Renee McLeod of Mended Hearts Ministries stands among their number as an outstanding minister of the gospel; and

Whereas, a native of Bennettsville, Pastor Andrea Renee McLeod was born to Hennie Buie and the late James Paul Buie. She attended the public schools of Marlboro County, graduating from Bennettsville High School in 1986. She received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Morris College in Sumter and a master's degree in counseling at Webster University in Myrtle Beach; and

Whereas, in 1996, she was united in holy matrimony to Reginald Jerome McLeod, her childhood sweetheart, and the two have been blessed with four beautiful children: Ariel Dene McLeod, Reginald Jerome McLeod, Jr., Jalen Justin McLeod, and Jasmine Devine McLeod. Since that time, the senior McLeods have been further blessed with four charming grandchildren: Kamari Covington McLeod, Beautiful Rose Moze, Layla Devine Pearson, and Leilani Tiana Johnson; and

Whereas, Pastor McLeod accepted her call to gospel ministry in January 2006 and takes her ministry very seriously. This anointed songster has shared her gift throughout the community and the world. She realizes her gift comes from God and that she has an obligation to share it. In 2015, God granted her the privilege of recording with the United Voices of Praise Faith Over Fear, in which she served as lead vocalist. The song was birthed in 2016, and still today God allows his glory to rest upon this song, which has led to the salvation and deliverance of many; and

Whereas, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and feels that living a virtuous life is a command of God and that women have an obligation to fulfill that command. Her strong ability to learn and her capacity to serve as both team player and leader have made her a valuable asset to her community; and

Whereas, Pastor McLeod is an active member of her community and a hard-working citizen of South Carolina. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and was named the 2015 NAACP Woman of the Year for the State of South Carolina. She is also co-founder of Mended Hearts Ministries; and

Whereas, moreover, she serves her community at Scotland County High School, where she is a school counselor. In addition, she is a certified transformation and empowerment coach; and

Whereas, to honor her at this special time in her life, a celebratory gathering will be held at Mended Hearts Ministries in Darlington on Sunday, April 23, 2023. The House is pleased to add its collective voice of praise to the many tributes flowing in to this dedicated pastor, and the members wish her God's best as she continues to run the race the Lord has set before her. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, honor Pastor Andrea Renee McLeod of Mended Hearts Ministries on the occasion of her seventh anniversary of gospel ministry and wish her God's richest blessings as she continues to serve the Lord.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Pastor Andrea Renee McLeod.
