A bill

TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY AMENDING SECTION 4-37-30, RELATING TO USES FOR WHICH THE REVENUES OF A SALES TAX FOR TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES MAY BE USED, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE REVENUES MAY BE USED FOR ADDITIONAL PROJECTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1.   Section 4-37-30(A)(1)(a)(i) of the S.C. Code is amended to read:

   (i) highways, roads, streets, bridges, mass public transit systems, aviation, railways, maritime transportation infrastructure, greenbelts, and other transportation-related projects facilities including, but not limited to, drainage facilities relating to the highways, roads, streets, bridges, and other transportation-related projects. For purposes of this subsubitem, "public transit system" means public buses, subways, light rail, commuter rail, trolleys, and ferries;

SECTION 2.   This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
