A bill

 

TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY AMENDING SECTION 7-7-490, RELATING TO DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO DELETE CERTAIN PRECINCTS, ADD NEW PRECINCTS, AND TO REDESIGNATE THE MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THESE PRECINCTS MAY BE FOUND ON FILE WITH THE REVENUE AND FISCAL AFFAIRS OFFICE.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

 

SECTION 1.  Section 7-7-490 of the S.C. Code is amended to read:

 

    Section 7-7-490. (A) In Spartanburg County there are the following voting precincts:

    (B) Precinct lines defining the precincts in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map on file with the Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office, and as shown on copies provided to the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Spartanburg County by the Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office designated as document P-83-21P-83-23A.

    (C) Polling places for the precincts listed in subsection (A) must be determined by the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Spartanburg County with the approval of a majority of the Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation.

 

SECTION 2.  This act takes effect on July 1, 2023
