A concurrent RESOLUTION

 

TO AUTHORIZE PALMETTO BOYS STATE TO USE THE CHAMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ON FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 2025, PROVIDED THE SENATE OR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IS NOT IN SESSION, AND THE CHAMBERS MAY NOT BE USED IF THE SENATE OR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IS IN SESSION OR THE CHAMBERS ARE OTHERWISE UNAVAILABLE.

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

 

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, authorize Palmetto Boys State to use the Chambers of the South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives and any available committee hearing rooms in the Blatt and Gressette Buildings for its annual State House meeting on Friday, June 13, 2025. The chambers, however, may not be used if the Senate or House is in session or if the chambers are otherwise unavailable.

 

Be it further resolved that the use of the chambers and the available committee hearing rooms by Palmetto Boys State must be in strict accordance with policies and the Rules of the Senate and House of Representatives.

 

Be it further resolved that the Office of the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate and House shall provide assistance and access as necessary for this meeting in accordance with applicable procedures of the Rules of the Senate and House of Representatives.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Executive Operations Director of Palmetto Boys State and to Senate Sergeant at Arms Chuck Williams and House of Representatives Sergeant at Arms Mitchell G. Dorman.
