A HOUSE RESOLUTION
to congratulate sheila parkman upon being named 2025 Lexington School District Four support staff member of the year, to thank her for her dedicated service, and to wish her continued success in the future.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Sheila Parkman has been selected 2025 Support Staff Member of the Year at Swansea High School in Lexington School District Four; and
Whereas, candidates for this honor undergo a thorough evaluation process, reflecting the high standards and expectations of the award; and
Whereas, support staff honorees such as Ms. Parkman exemplify professionalism, dedication, and service. They serve as role models for their colleagues and demonstrate a consistent and inspiring commitment to educational excellence and student success; and
Whereas, in her role as Career Specialist at Swansea High School, Ms. Parkman plays a vital part in preparing students for their future careers. She organizes career-related events, facilitates guest speaker engagements, and creates immersive learning experiences that expose students to diverse professional opportunities; and
Whereas, her work includes coaching students on resume writing, interview techniques, and professional communication, while also fostering essential soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and workplace etiquette; and
Whereas, Ms. Parkman has shown exemplary initiative in cultivating partnerships with local employers and community leaders, helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world career readiness; and
Whereas, the State of South Carolina is fortunate to benefit from the dedication and care of professionals like Sheila Parkman, who play an essential part in the development and success of its youth; and
Whereas, it is only fitting and proper that the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives celebrate Sheila Parkman, for her exemplary service and commend her for making a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of students and the broader school community. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Sheila Parkman upon being named 2025 Lexington School District Four Support Staff Member of the Year, thank her for her dedicated service, and wish her continued success in the future.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Sheila Parkman.
