A house RESOLUTION
TO SALUTE THE MCBEE HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS POWERLIFTING TEAM ON CAPTURING THE 2025 SOUTH CAROLINA HIGH SCHOOL STRENGTH COACHES ASSOCIATION CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE AND TO CONGRATULATE THE TEAM AND ITS COACHES ON A SUPERLATIVE SEASON.
Whereas, the air on your face and the ground under your feet feel different when you reach the top of the mountain. The McBee High School Lady Panthers found that out on Saturday, November 8, 2025, when they bested all comers to claim the 2025 South Carolina High School Strength Coaches Association Class A State Championship title; and
Whereas, competing on the campus of Lexington High School, McBee captured its very first state title while contending in the squat, bench press, and standing broad jump among a total of three hundred forty-three female strength athletes from thirty-two South Carolina schools; and
Whereas, making a sweet victory even sweeter, this state title win came to a program established just a few years ago in 2023. Moreover, the fledgling powerlifting program won the 2025 crown over a host of larger schools; and
Whereas, in a field that demands discipline, practice, and focused energy, Head Coach Beau Boyle, with the outstanding aid of Assistant Coach Nita Coleman, capitalized on his own athletic skills to mold a championship team and teach his athletes lessons that will prove invaluable throughout life, both on and off the platform; and
Whereas, the members of the McBee girls powerlifting team have given their school and community reason to be proud of their accomplishments, and the House takes great pleasure in adding its collective voice to the encomiums flowing in to this outstanding group of young athletes. Go, Lady Panthers! Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, salute the McBee High School girls powerlifting team on capturing the 2025 South Carolina High School Strength Coaches Association Class A State Championship title and congratulate the team and its coaches on a superlative season.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Sherry Young and Coach Beau Boyle of McBee High School.
