A house RESOLUTION

To recognize and honor the A.C. Flora high school cheerleading team, their coaches, and school officials for an outstanding season and to congratulate them for winning the 2025 south carolina High school league class AAAA competitive cheerleading State championship title.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is proud to learn that the A.C. Flora High School cheerleading team claimed the state title at the South Carolina High School League state competition, held at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on November 22, 2025; and

Whereas, amid the excitement and pride of their dedicated supporters, the A.C. Flora Falcons outperformed a talented Gilbert High School team to secure the championship by a three-point margin, finishing with an impressive total score of 277 points. This victory marks the third state championship in program history and follows two consecutive runner-up finishes, demonstrating the team's perseverance, determination, and steady pursuit of excellence; and

Whereas, in a sport that demands precision, athleticism, discipline, and teamwork, Head Coach Lyndsey West and her accomplished coaching staff skillfully developed a championship-caliber program, instilling in these student athletes the character, confidence, and life principles that extend far beyond the competition floor; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives recognize the distinction and pride the A.C. Flora cheerleaders have brought to their school and community and commend them for serving as exemplary ambassadors of sportsmanship and achievement.  Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor the A.C. Flora High School cheerleading team, their coaches, and school officials for an outstanding season and congratulate them for winning the 2025 South Carolina High School League Class AAAA competitive cheerleading state championship title.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Susan Childs and Coach Lyndsey West.
