A house RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR S.L. BARNO FUNERAL DIRECTORS FOR THE SERVICES THEY PROVIDE FAMILIES IN DARLINGTON AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.
Whereas, founded by Sherman L. Barno, S.L. Barno Funeral Directors is a family-owned funeral service provider that serves families in Darlington and surrounding communities with dignity, compassion, and professionalism, and represents the continuation of a long tradition of service to families during their most difficult moments; and
Whereas, Sherman Barno built his reputation in the funeral service profession through years of experience working within the Darlington area funeral industry. His dedication to caring for families and honoring the lives of the deceased eventually led him to establish his own funeral service organization; and
Whereas, in 2018, he formally opened S.L. Barno Funeral Directors in Darlington, creating a locally-owned business committed to personalized funeral services and community support; and
Whereas, located in the heart of Darlington, the funeral home was established with the goal of providing respectful, individualized services that reflect the traditions, faith, and cultural values of the families it serves; and
Whereas, S.L. Barno Funeral Directors has become known for compassionate care and attention to detail, including the way it assists with traditional funeral services, memorial celebrations, burial arrangements, and grief support; and
Whereas, now under the leadership of Sherman L. Barno Jr. who serves as owner and manager, the funeral home continues to build upon the vision of its founder. The organization strives to uphold a spirit of excellence in funeral service while remaining deeply connected to the Darlington community; and
Whereas, since its founding, S.L. Barno Funeral Directors has assisted numerous families throughout Darlington County, helping them celebrate the lives and legacies of loved ones while providing comfort and guidance during times of loss; and
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives values the important role of S.L. Barno Funeral Directors in the community's tradition of honoring life and preserving memory, through a commitment to service, professionalism, and respect. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor S.L. Barno Funeral Directors for the services they provide families in Darlington and surrounding communities.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to S.L. Barno Funeral Directors.
