A house RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR CONNER BEAUDIN, A SENIOR AT JAMES F. BYRNES HIGH SCHOOL, FOR AN OUTSTANDING WRESTLING SEASON AND ILLUSTRIOUS CAREER, AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM UPON CAPTURING THE 2026 SOUTH CAROLINA CLASS AAAAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE IN THE 144-POUND WEIGHT CLASS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to recognize that Conner Beaudin of Byrnes High School in Spartanburg claimed the boys wrestling state championship title in his weight division at the Florence Center on February 21, 2026; and
Whereas, to the excitement of his supporters, Conner Beaudin prevailed over a highly competitive field to secure the state title in the 144-pound weight class. He is also a three-time prior state champion, having earned titles in the 138-pound weight class in both 2024 and 2025, and in the 126-pound weight class in 2023; and
Whereas, in addition to these remarkable achievements, Conner was named the South Carolina wrestler of the year or "Mr. Wrestler," was recognized as the most outstanding wrestler at the 2026 South Carolina Class AAAAA State Tournament, and achieved the distinction of being the 34th four-time state champion in South Carolina history. He also was selected as the 2026 Spartanburg County Champion and earned 2026 All-Region honors, concluding his high school career with an impressive record of 146-15; and
Whereas, further demonstrating his consistency and excellence, Conner Beaudin is a three-time Spartanburg County champion and a three-time region champion; and
Whereas, through a sport that demands discipline, resilience and precision, Conner has developed exceptional athletic skill and character, qualities that will serve him well in all future endeavors; and
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representative takes great pride in the honor and distinction that Conner Beaudin has brought to his school, community, and State, and the members eagerly anticipate his continued success. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Conner Beaudin, a senior at James F. Byrnes High School, for an outstanding wrestling season and illustrious career, and congratulate him upon capturing the 2026 South Carolina Class AAAAA State Championship title in the 144-pound weight class.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Conner Beaudin.
