A senate RESOLUTION

 

TO CONGRATULATE Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips UPON THE OCCASION OF ITS tenth ANNIVERSARY AND TO COMMEND the restaurant FOR ITS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE lexington COMMUNITY AND THE PEOPLE AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips as it celebrates this important milestone; and

 

Whereas, Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips was created by eight siblings, Will, Sarah Grace, Spencer, James, Webb, John, George, and Richard Allen, who were raised as an agrarian homeschooling family, learning to grow crops organically, along with raising sheep, goats, and free-range chickens with the help of their guard llama, Uncle Bob; and

 

Whereas, the Allens purchased the restaurant in 2014 and rebranded the restaurant to Momma Rabbit's at the end of 2015. The name "Momma Rabbit" is an homage to the Allens' late grandmother, Mary Sue, who passed away in 2010 and left the siblings enough money to start the business; and

 

Whereas, a small business that values quality and locally sourced ingredients, Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips consistently offers a creative, flavorful menu that has delighted patrons and earned the restaurant a loyal following; and

 

Whereas, the owners and staff of Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips engage their community by hosting events that bring residents together to discuss local civic issues, and by supporting initiatives that strengthen Lexington County, thereby extending their positive influence beyond the dining room; and

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate greatly appreciate the dedication and commitment of Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips to serving the people and the State of South Carolina.  Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the Senate:

 

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips upon the occasion of its tenth anniversary and commend the restaurant for its many years of dedicated service to the Lexington community and the people and the State of South Carolina.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the owners of Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips, Will, Sarah Grace, Spencer, James, Webb, John, George, and Richard Allen.
