A concurrent RESOLUTION

 

TO CONGRATULATE ANGELA BOWEN UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT, TO COMMEND HER FOR HER YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE, AND TO WISH HER MUCH HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN THE YEARS AHEAD.

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly are pleased to recognize Angela Bowen upon the occasion of her retirement; and

 

Whereas, Ms. Bowen began her career in education teaching kindergarten for twenty years in both private and public schools. She left Oakwood Christian School in 2014 to take care of her mother. She then transitioned into the role of social media director of Ace Hardware of Williamston and Honea Path in 2017, where she initiated many projects to engage the communities until her retirement this year; and

 

Whereas, a devout Christian, Ms. Bowen is a member Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Easley and enjoys going to Bible studies and fellowship with the Grow Group class; and

 

Whereas, Ms. Bowen enjoys drawing and painting and delivering food, water, and Bible verses to various blessing boxes around Anderson. She also loves gardening year round and delivering flowers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and squash to friends and family; and

 

Whereas, together with her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of forty-four years, Bobby Bowen, she has reared two fine children, Chelsea Bowen and Jeremy Bowen. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

 

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate Angela Bowen upon the occasion of her retirement, commend her for her many years of dedicated service, and wish her much happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Angela Bowen.
