A senate RESOLUTION
TO recognize and honor Youngs Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church upon the occasion of its Family and Friends Day and Church Rededication Celebration and to commend the church for its many years of dedicated service to the Irmo community and the people and the State of South Carolina.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Youngs Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church as it celebrates this important milestone; and
Whereas, for generations, Youngs Chapel AME Church has served as a pillar in the Irmo community, providing spiritual guidance, community outreach, and programs that support families, youth, and those in need; and
Whereas, the church's Family and Friends Day and Church Rededication Celebration marks the completion of an extensive renovation of historic church's building and grounds, a significant milestone in the life of the congregation; and
Whereas, this achievement reflects not only the faith and commitment of the church's members and the collaborative efforts of community partners, donors, and leaders who believe in the mission and impact of Youngs Chapel AME Church; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate greatly appreciate the dedication and commitment of the members of Youngs Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church to serving the people and the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, recognize and honor Youngs Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church upon the occasion of its Family and Friends Day and Church Rededication Celebration and commend the church for its many years of dedicated service to the Irmo community and the people and the State of South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the pastor of Youngs Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Reverend Fedrick A. Wilson.
