A senate RESOLUTION
TO CELEBRATE AND HONOR VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICAL MISSIONS UPON THE OCCASION OF ITS FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY AND TO COMMEND THE ORGANIZATION AND VOLUNTEERS FOR THEIR MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to learn that Volunteers in Medical Missions (VIMM) will celebrate its fortieth anniversary during a special event at the Seneca, South Carolina chapter, on September 26, 2026; and
Whereas, established in 1986, VIMM is a team of compassionate, faith-driven physicians, nurses, and other volunteers who are dedicated to providing spiritual and physical care, driven by a mission to reach and heal the sick and hurting throughout the world; and
Whereas, over the past forty years, VIMM has contributed significantly to the citizens of South Carolina and the world by providing care, healing, and love to thousands of children and adults across the globe. Completing missions on six continents and forty-two countries and building seven medical clinics that provide imperative, lifesaving treatments and procedures to those who need it most; and
Whereas, through the generous support of its diverse volunteers and donors, VIMM is able to provide medicine, supplies, and equipment to clinics globally, while promoting a loving, compassionate, faith-based approach to patient care. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, celebrate and honor Volunteers in Medical Missions upon the occasion of its fortieth anniversary and commend the organization and volunteers for their many years of dedicated service to the State of South Carolina and the global community.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Volunteers in Medical Missions.
