A house RESOLUTION

TO HONOR THE CHRISTIAN COVENANT FELLOWSHIP OF MINISTRIES ON THE OCCASION OF ITS TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY, TO CONGRATULATE THE MEMBERS OF THIS FINE ORGANIZATION FOR A QUARTER CENTURY OF SERVING THE LORD AND HIS PEOPLE, AND TO WISH THE GROUP AND ITS LEADER, BISHOP MICHAEL BLUE, MANY MORE YEARS OF BLESSING AS THEY CONTINUE TO SERVE.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries (CCFM) is celebrating twenty-five years of touching the nations from the Pee Dee region in 2025; and

Whereas, the group was birthed by God's providential design: In December 2000, a group of ministers from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Ohio met to share their hearts' burden concerning the need for fellowship. Though their congregations were autonomous, they acknowledged the sincere need for personal and doctrinal accountability and a deeper sense of connectedness to others within the Body of Christ. Therefore, out of that meeting was formed a covenant group, the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries. Bishop Michael Blue was selected to lead the fledgling fellowship; and

Whereas, this network of leaders agreed to gather for a conference in May 2001 in Marion, South Carolina. The first conference was a tremendous success as the leaders and their congregants came together to worship, pray, study, and strategize for more effectiveness in their locales. It became clear to all that this was not merely a good idea, but a God idea; and

Whereas, since those initial gatherings in 2000 and 2001, tremendous growth has occurred in the fellowship and in the conference. This year, while CCFM presents the King's Summit 2025, June 17-21, at Florence Center, it also will celebrate its silver anniversary. This milestone event, since the pandemic, has attracted over one thousand three hundred attendees nightly from across the nation and beyond, focusing on faith, empowerment, and community development. CCFM's influence spans fifteen states and nearly eighty affiliated churches, impacting ministries, leaders, and communities; and

Whereas, CCFM's mission is to enhance the community, engage culture, and exalt Christ. This mission also includes empowering faith-based leaders and communities and providing tools for spiritual and personal growth while fostering collaboration for the greater good; and

Whereas, CCFM's work has included offering adult seminars on physical and psychological health, opioid awareness, finances, men's issues, women's issues, entrepreneurship, marriage, single living, youth suicide prevention, legal matters for churches, leadership, home ownership, community college, community engagement, and various facets of ministry and auxiliary functions. The organization has placed particular emphasis on preparing generations of young adults for leadership and has developed a youth conference for the natural and spiritual development of children and teens. CCFM further offers an annual college scholarship to high school graduates. Most importantly, however, inspirational worship services, morning and evening, provide the anchor and framework for the conference. Outstanding speakers, clinicians, and musical artists from across the nation and the world have served CCFM during these years. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, honor the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries on the occasion of its twenty-fifth anniversary, congratulate the members of this fine organization for a quarter century of serving the Lord and his people, and wish the group and its leader, Bishop Michael Blue, many more years of blessing as they continue to serve.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries.
