A house RESOLUTION

 

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR Connor Rasmussen OF FORT MILL FOR HIS OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS IN BASEBALL, TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON BEING SELECTED IN THE 2025 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL DRAFT, AND TO COMMEND THE FOUNDATIONS OF EXCELLENCE HE BUILT AT FORT MILL HIGH SCHOOL AND IN COLLEGE.

 

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives takes great pride in the accomplishments of Connor Rasmussen of Fort Mill, a distinguished graduate of Fort Mill High School's Class of 2022; and

 

Whereas, Connor excelled as both pitcher and position player for the Fort Mill High School baseball program, where he developed the athletic talent and leadership that propelled him forward in his career; and

 

Whereas, after excelling at Tulane University, Connor Rasmussen was selected in the fifteenth round of the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft by the Kansas City Royals, an extraordinary milestone that reflects his talent, discipline, and determination; and

 

Whereas, his accomplishments highlight not only his years of dedication but also the encouragement of his coaches, teammates, and family, and serve as an example for other student-athletes in the Fort Mill community; and

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives proudly celebrate the achievements of Connor Rasmussen and extend their best wishes as he embarks on his professional baseball career. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Connor Rasmussen of Fort Mill for his outstanding achievements in baseball, congratulate him on being selected in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft, and commend the foundations of excellence he built at Fort Mill High School and in college.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Connor Rasmussen.
