To whom was referred a Bill (H. 5168) to amend the South Carolina Code of Laws by adding Section 1-1-687 so as to designate "Carolina Until I Die" by Patrick Davis as an official state song, etc., respectfully
Report:
That they have duly and carefully considered the same, and recommend that the same do pass with amendment:
Amend the bill, as and if amended, SECTION 1, by striking Section 1-1-687 and inserting:
Section 1-1-687. "Carolina Until When I Die" by Patrick Davis is designated as an official state song.
Renumber sections to conform.
Amend title to conform.

This bill designates "Carolina When I Die" by Patrick Davis as an official state song.
This bill does not operationally or fiscally impact state agencies. Therefore, the bill will have no fiscal impact.

TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY ADDING SECTION 1-1-687 SO AS TO DESIGNATE "CAROLINA UNTIL I DIE" BY PATRICK DAVIS AS AN OFFICIAL STATE SONG.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 9, Chapter 1, Title 1 of the S.C. Code is amended by adding:
Section 1-1-687. "Carolina Until I Die" by Patrick Davis is designated as an official state song.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
