A house RESOLUTION

 

to recognize and honor the White Knoll High School Archery Team, their coaches, and school officials for an outstanding season, and to congratulate them on winning the 2026 South Carolina Archery in the Schools 3D State championship.

 

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the White Knoll High School archery team captured the top prize at the 2026 South Carolina Archery in the Schools 3D State Championship; and

 

Whereas, in early March 2026, the team earned the 3D State Championship title with a score of 1,687, the highest 3D score recorded in South Carolina for the year.  The team further distinguished itself by earning the title of runner-up in the 2026 South Carolina Archery in the Schools Bullseye State Championship, underscoring its exceptional skill and consistency. This achievement marks the seventh overall state archery championship for White Knoll High School; and

 

Whereas, individual team members delivered impressive performances in the 3D competition, including Caylee Rouse, who placed second; Julie Lee, who placed fourth; Ivee Gantt, who placed tenth; Owen Kyzer, who placed third among seniors; and Evan White, who secured a tenth-place finish in the Bullseye competition; and  

 

Whereas, the team's success was further highlighted by personal record achievements, including Owen Kyzer with a score of 282, and Evan White with scores of 276 in 3D and 284 in Bullseye; and

 

Whereas, under the leadership of Head Coach Timothy Eernisse and his dedicated staff, the Timberwolves demonstrated exceptional determination, discipline and talent, distinguishing themselves among their peers and affirming their status as state champions; and

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives take great pride in recognizing these exemplary student athletes for the distinction they have brought to their school and community and anticipate their continued success.  Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor the White Knoll High School archery team, their coaches, and school officials for an outstanding season and congratulate them on winning the 2026 South Carolina Archery in the Schools 3D State Championship.   

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Nicholas Pearson and Coach Timothy Eernisse.
