A house RESOLUTION

 

TO recognize and honor Dr. Kristen Steely for her outstanding contributions to elevate the field of chiropractic care and her dedication to dutifully serving the citizens of South Carolina with compassionate healthcare. 

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to recognize Dr. Kristen Steely for dutifully serving the citizens of South Carolina in her capacity as a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine and for her outstanding contributions to the field of chiropractic care; and

 

Whereas, a native of Buffalo, New York, Dr. Steely is a 1996 graduate of Niagara University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology; and

 

Whereas, Dr. Steely then graduated from Life University with honors and a doctorate in chiropractic; and

 

Whereas, Dr. Steely served on a chiropractic mission team in Cusco, Peru, where she experienced life in a developing country while serving on a team of twenty-six chiropractors who adjusted 8,000 patients in four days; and

 

Whereas, she served as the team chiropractor for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49ers, passionately relating to their sports-related injuries and stresses associated with collegiate sports, having played Division I Women's Basketball in college herself; and

 

Whereas, she moved to Anderson, South Carolina and opened the Anderson Wellness Center, a health facility that offers chiropractic care, massage therapy, spinal therapy, and nutritional supplementation, with a natural approach to healthcare for the entire family; and

 

Whereas, as President of the South Carolina Chiropractic Association from 2025 to 2026, Dr. Steely has led the SCCA with efforts to advance the chiropractic profession, engage chiropractors across the State, and promote high standards of care throughout the State; and

 

Whereas, the House of Representatives is grateful for Dr. Steely's dedication to holistic, compassionate healthcare and her efforts to elevate the chiropractic profession across the Palmetto State. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Dr. Kristen Steely for her outstanding contributions to elevate the field of chiropractic care and her dedication to dutifully serving the citizens of South Carolina with compassionate healthcare.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Kristen Steely.
