A house RESOLUTION

 

TO HONOR AND CONGRATULATE INDUSTRIAL MOTOR SERVICE INC. OF ANDERSON COUNTY FOR BEING NAMED THE 2026 BLUE-COLLAR SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR BY THE UNITED STATES SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION.

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were pleased to learn that Industrial Motor Service Inc. of Anderson County was named the 2026 Blue-Collar Small Business of the Year by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA); and

 

Whereas, since 1963, the President of the United States has declared National Small Business Week to recognize small businesses as the job creators, builders, and innovators of America's economy. The SBA celebrates Small Business Week by recognizing the achievements of outstanding small business owners and entrepreneurs across the United States, as well as offering educational workshops and seminars. This year, the SBA selected Industrial Motor Service Inc. to receive the Blue-Collar Small Business of the Year award, and this esteemed South Carolina business was invited to attend the national awards ceremony on May 3, in Washington D.C.; and

 

Whereas, Industrial Motor Service Inc. specializes in the repair of rotating electrical apparatus equipment and offers a wide range of new equipment for sale. Their comprehensive services extend to various industries including, but not limited to, textiles, automotive, and farming. By catering to diverse sectors, they ensure that they expertly serve a broad spectrum of clients; and

 

Whereas, founded in 1989, Industrial Motor Service Inc. has experienced continuous growth since its inception. Initially only serving the Anderson area with approximately twenty customers, they expanded their reach significantly over the years. Today they cater to customers across South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina, serving over 200 clients, as well as drop shipping motors nationwide. Throughout the last three decades, Industrial Motor Service Inc.'s primary focus has always been to provide unparalleled service to their esteemed clientele; and

 

Whereas, over the years, the company has consistently delivered superior service, constantly aiming to exceed customer expectations. Industrial Motor Service Inc.'s dedication to excellence remains unwavering as they continue to be a reliable partner for all rotating electrical apparatus needs, providing top-notch repairs, equipment sales, and unparalleled service. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, honor and congratulate Industrial Motor Service Inc. of Anderson County for being named the 2026 Blue-Collar Small Business of the Year by the United States Small Business Administration.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Industrial Motor Service Inc.
