A house RESOLUTION

 

to congratulate Henri-Claude oyima, chairman and group chief executive officer of bgfibank group for his outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to the development of the african banking sector, regional capital markets, and private sector growth. 

 

Whereas, Henri-Claude Oyima has distinguished himself as one of Africa's foremost banking leaders, successfully transforming the BGFIBank Group into a premier pan-African financial institution operating across twelve countries and serving individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and large corporations throughout the region; and

 

Whereas, under his visionary leadership, the BGFIBank Group has become the leading financial institution in Central Africa, demonstrating excellence in banking, financial innovation, and sustainable economic development; and

 

Whereas, as president of the Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC), Mr. Oyima has played a pivotal role in advancing the integration and modernization of regional financial markets, thereby expanding access to domestic capital and strengthening investment opportunities across Central Africa; and

 

Whereas, during his tenure as Gabon's Minister of Economy and Finance, he leveraged his extensive banking expertise to implement significant fiscal and economic reforms that enhanced transparency, strengthened public financial management, and promoted greater investor confidence; and

 

Whereas, Mr. Oyima further demonstrated his commitment to private sector development by founding the Federation of Gabonese Enterprises (FEG), providing the business community with a unified and influential platform to engage in national economic policy and advocate for sustainable private sector growth; and

 

Whereas, his unwavering dedication to African financial sovereignty, institutional excellence, innovation, and regional economic integration has earned him recognition as an influential leader whose vision continues to inspire progress across the African banking and financial services industry; and

 

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives greatly appreciates Henri-Claude Oyima for his outstanding leadership and the positive changes he has made for the African banking sector.  Now, therefore, 

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Henri-Claude Oyima, chairman and group chief executive officer of BGFIBank Group for his outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to the development of the African banking sector, regional capital markets, and private sector growth. 

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Henri-Claude Oyima.
