A Senate RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE CHIEF CHARLES RUCKER UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY AT NEW RED ROCK FIRE STATION AND TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
Whereas, The South Carolina Senate recognizes Chief Charles Rucker as he celebrates this significant milestone in his remarkable career; and
Whereas, Chief Rucker joined the fire service as a volunteer on September 8, 1975. Dedicated to serving his community, he became chief in 1982 and led with distinction throughout his service of twenty-seven years before resigning in 2009; and
Whereas, in 1996, Chief Rucker began teaching for the Fire Academy, where he continues to educate and inspire future generations while sharing his knowledge, experience, and unwavering dedication. He was appointed the training officer of Calhoun County in 2020, and he continues to oversee all training for Calhoun County firefighters; and
Whereas, Chief Rucker is now the acting chief of the New Red Rock Fire Station in Calhoun County, continuing his lifelong pledge to protect and serve; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate appreciate Chief Rucker's dedication and commitment to serving the people and the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Chief Charles Rucker upon the occasion of his fiftieth anniversary at New Red Rock Fire Station and commend him for his many years of dedicated service to the people and the State of South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Chief Charles Rucker.
