A concurrent RESOLUTION

 

to fix one o'clock p.m. on march 4, 2026, as the time to elect a member to the public service commission for the first congressional district for a term expiring on june 30, 2028; to elect a member to the public service commission for the third congressional district for a term expiring on june 30, 2028; to elect a member to the public service commission for the fifth congressional district for a term expiring on JUNE 30, 2028; AND TO ELECT A MEMBER TO THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION FOR THE SEVENTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT FOR A TERM EXPIRING ON JUNE 30, 2028.

 

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

 

That the Senate and the House of Representatives shall meet in joint assembly in the Hall of the House of Representatives at one o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, to elect a member to the Public Service Commission for the First Congressional District, for a term expiring on June 30, 2028; to elect a member to the Public Service Commission for the Third Congressional District, for a term expiring on June 30, 2028; to elect a member to the Public Service Commission for the Fifth Congressional District, for a term expiring on June 30, 2028; and to elect a member to the Public Service Commission for the Seventh Congressional District, for a term expiring on June 30, 2028.

 

Be it further resolved that all nominations must be made by a member of the State Regulation of Public Utilities Review Committee, and that no further nominating or seconding speeches may be made by members of the General Assembly on behalf of any candidate.

 

Be it further resolved that the General Assembly agrees that during the joint assembly the members of the House of Representatives shall vote electronically on the elections for members of the Public Service Commission for the First, Third, Fifth, and Seventh Congressional Districts, and on any other matter requiring a vote of the House related to these elections.
