Ad-Hoc Property Tax Committee
The twenty one member Ad Hoc Property Tax Committee was appointed by Speaker
Harrell and is chaired by Rep. Bill Cotty. This committee is charged with
examining the state’s property tax system and how changes would affect homeowners,
businesses, state and local governments, the state’s revenues and economic
development efforts. The committee has been tasked to prepare recommendations
and legislation in time for the 2006 session.
