S 1076 General Bill, By M.T. Rose and Thomas
    A Bill to amend Title 8, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to public offices and employees by adding Chapter 16 so as to establish uniform standards for pre-employment and employment drug testing of public and private sector employees, to authorize this drug testing under certain conditions, to provide procedures for this testing including confidentiality requirements, to provide for employee and employer protections in regard to this testing, to provide for the approval of persons and laboratories by the Department of Health and Environmental Control to conduct specimen collection and confirmation testing, and to provide for civil remedies and relief for certain violations.
