A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-5-200 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION SHALL ESTABLISH A GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SCHOOL DISTRICTS PILOT TEST OR IMPLEMENT MODIFIED OR EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR SCHEDULES, AND TO PROVIDE THE PROCEDURES NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE ABOVE PROVISIONS.
