    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 7-13-43 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT NO SPECIAL ELECTION IS REQUIRED TO BE CONDUCTED IF ONLY ONE CANDIDATE OFFERS FOR AN OFFICE AND NO ONE HAS FILED A STATEMENT OF INTENTION TO SEEK THE OFFICE AS A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE TWO WEEKS AFTER THE FILING FOR THAT OFFICE HAS CLOSED AND PROVIDE FOR APPLICABILITY TO MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTIONS.
