S 1194 General Bill, By M.T. Rose
    A Bill to amend Act 535 of 1982, as amended, relating to the requirement that members of the Board of Trustees of Summerville School District 2 of Dorchester County must be elected rather than appointed, so as to provide that vacancies on the Board must be filled at the next general election or at a special election if the vacancies occur more than one hundred eighty days before the next election instead of the county legislative delegation filling the vacancies by appointment, and provide that if the vacancies occur one hundred eighty days or less before the general election, the members of the governing body of the county representing persons residing in the District shall fill the vacancies.
