    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 12-36-2120 OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO SALES TAX EXEMPTIONS, TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN APPLIANCES THAT MEET OR EXCEED ENERGY EFFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS UNDER THE ENERGY STAR PROGRAM ARE EXEMPT FROM SALES TAX ON THE FIRST FRIDAY IN AUGUST THROUGH THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY.
