S 1215 General Bill, By Ryberg
    A Bill to amend Section 5-7-60, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the authorization for a municipality to furnish any of its services outside the corporate limits, so as to provide that any municipality extending fire protection services to persons without the corporate limits of the municipality shall not charge such persons a rate which is more than fifty percent more than the maximum rate charged to persons residing within the corporate limits of the municipality; to provide that any municipality extending fire protection services to persons without the corporate limits of the municipality shall charge all such persons a uniform rate; and to provide that a municipality may not charge a rate to persons within or without the corporate limits of the municipality which exceeds the actual cost of providing the service.
