A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 42-5-205 so as to require every insurance carrier insuring employers against liability for personal injuries to their employees or death caused by personal injuries, under the State Workers' Compensation Law, to maintain at all times in this State at least one resident adjuster, to require the carrier to maintain on file with the Chief Insurance Commissioner the name, current address, and current telephone number of the adjuster, and to provide that the failure to maintain on file the required information constitutes grounds for revoking the carrier's authorization to do business in this State.
