    A Bill to amend Section 9-11-510, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the South Carolina Police Officers Retirement System, so as to make a technical correction to require retirement allowances and death benefits accruing as of a certain date read " the monthly benefits" instead of "the benefits" payable under such Section; to amend Act 16 of 1979, relating to the South Carolina Retirement System, so as to provide that additional benefits accruing to persons with thirty years' service who retired prior to July 1, 1975, shall be payable only for the period beginning July 1, 1979; and to repeal Section 9-1-600, relating to the time for the election of former state employees or teachers to become members of the South Carolina Retirement System.
