A Bill to amend Chapter 7 of Title 20, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to care and support in domestic relations matters by adding Subarticle 2 to Article 9 so as to enact the South Carolina Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act of 1981 which provides methods and procedures for the courts of this State to follow in conjunction with the appropriate courts of other states in order to resolve child custody disputes in the best interests of the child concerned; to amend Chapter 7 of Title 20, by redesignating certain Code Section numbers within the Chapter; to amend Section 20-7-420, relating to the Family Court, so as to provide that jurisdiction of the Court shall be exclusive in certain matters relating to children; to amend Section 20-7-2700, relating to child day care centers, so as to change the definition of such centers; and to provide that adults sentenced under the provisions of Chapter 7 of Title 20 of the 1976 Code to imprisonment of more than ninety days may in the discretion of the Family Court serve such sentences in minimum security facilities.-at
