A Bill to amend Article 8 of Chapter 11 of Title 16, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to theft of cable television service, by adding Section 16-11-860 so as to require a cable television company to allow its customers to use any device incorporated in a television receiver which enables the customer to receive and view signals for which a lawful charge has been paid and to provide that a company may not require its customers to use and may not charge for any device provided by the company to receive signals if it is possible for the customer to lawfully receive the signals without using the device.
