    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 16-1-60, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VIOLENT CRIMES, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ASSAULT AND BATTERY OF A HIGH AND AGGRAVATED NATURE, AND CAUSING GREAT BODILY INJURY OR DEATH BY OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR ANOTHER CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE ARE VIOLENT CRIMES.
