A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 38-5-175 so as to provide that after December 31, 1990, no insurance policy may be issued or renewed that provides coverage against punitive damages; and to amend Section 38-77-30, relating to definitions for purposes of automobile liability insurance, so as to exclude punitive damages from the definition of "damages".
