    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 2-19-70, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VARIOUS PROCEDURES FOR ELECTION OF JUDGES, SO AS TO DELETE THE PROVISIONS PROHIBITING A MEMBER OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY FROM BEING ELECTED TO A JUDICIAL OFFICE FOR ONE YEAR AFTER SERVING AS A MEMBER AND FOR ONE YEAR AFTER FAILING TO FILE FOR OFFICE, THEREBY ALLOWING A MEMBER TO SERVE UNTIL THE ELECTION.
