H 3379 General Bill, By T.A. Limehouse and S.S. Wofford
    A Bill to amend Section 22-3-550, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to magistrates' criminal jurisdiction, so as to increase the jurisdiction to include offenses subject to a fine or forfeiture not exceeding one thousand instead of two hundred dollars and subject to imprisonment not exceeding forty-five instead of thirty days and Section 44-53-370, as amended, relating to the penalties for certain drug offenses, Section 56-5-2940, as amended, relating to the penalties for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and Section 56-5-2945, as amended, relating to the penalties for injuring or killing a person while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, so as to provide for five hundred dollars to be added to a fine imposed under those Sections and provide for the use of the additional fine.
