A Bill to amend Section 12-43-220, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to classifications of real property according to use for purposes of ad valorem taxation, so as to delete authority for the local taxing authority to extend the time for filing the application for the four percent assessment ratio on a satisfactory showing of reasonable cause for failing to file and to provide that applications may be accepted after the May first deadline upon payment of a late application processing fee set by the governing body of the county in an amount not to exceed twenty-five dollars.
