    A Bill to amend Section 12-37-250, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the homestead exemption from property taxes, so as to provide that the minimum one year residency requirement may be met at any point during the first year the exemption is claimed and to clarify that the exemption application is timely filed at any time before the first penalty date for taxes for the tax year for which the exemption is first claimed.
