A Joint Resolution proposing an amendment to Section 2, Article III of the Constitution of South Carolina, 1895, relating to the House of Representatives, so as to provide that beginning in 1992, members of the House of Representatives may not serve more than six consecutive terms, to provide exemptions for members presently serving and for a person who submits a petition signed by twenty-five percent of the electors in the area from which the person is elected; and proposing an amendment to Section 6, Article III, of the Constitution, relating to the Senate, so as to provide that beginning in 1992, members of the Senate may not serve more than three consecutive terms, to provide exemptions for members presently serving and for a person who submits a petition signed by twenty-five percent of the electors in the area from which the person is elected.
