A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 12-37-95 so as to require the assessor to notify the property owners and mortgagees within thirty days of a change in a tax map number, to prohibit assessing a late payment penalty when timely notice is not given, and to require the prompt refund of erroneously paid taxes due to a change in a tax map number.
