H 3669 General Bill, By T.E. Huff
    A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 59-67-35 so as to require specific standards and specifications for all buses used for the transportation of school children; by adding Section 59-67-145 so as to require school bus drivers to wear safety belts while operating a school bus; and by adding Section 59-67-155 so as to require the State Board of Education to implement a program for alcohol and drug testing; to amend Section 59-67-470, relating to selection, eligibility, training, and certification of bus drivers, so as to require certificates to be renewed every two years instead of three and to require drivers to complete an annual refresher course to maintain their certification.
